It’s essential to prepare the surface where you will install tiles. A poorly prepared wall can negativelt affect the tile’s adherence and durability. Before we install, the surface should be thoroughly cleaned. (This is very important) Some wall aren’t suitable for tiles to be installed. Some walls requires some in-depth preparation work prior to installation.
Cleaning the Wall Before Installing Tic Tac Tiles
Clean the surface with a powerful GREASE-REMOVER such as TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate) or sugar soap. Allow enough time for the surface to dry thoroughly before installing tiles. For optimum tiles stickiness you may gently scrub painted surfaces with fine sandpaper (1200 grit). This step will eradicate oily or glossy layer of paint and slightly brings about a roughness to the surface. This gives the tiles better adhesion.
